1. Spiritual Focus and Morning Chapel Prayer
Objective
Begin each day by seeking God’s guidance, healing, and blessings for the students, their families, and the classroom community.
Activities
- Daily morning prayer in the Chapel, on knees, focusing on the needs of students and families.
- Emphasis on faithful prayer and fasting as a means to invite God’s intervention.
- Encourage students to witness and reflect on answered prayers, healings, and blessings.
Reflection
Over the past month, our dedication to prayer has brought deliverances, miracles, restored relationships, financial blessings, and protection from harm. Students are beginning to understand the power of unified, heartfelt prayer.
2. Writing Assignments – Overview and Purpose
Objective
Develop students’ writing skills while reinforcing Christian values and knowledge of the world. Focus on penmanship, grammar, and vocabulary.
Past Assignments Recap (2015)
- October: State research project. Each student selected a state, researched facts, and presented findings. Students learned geography, history, and unique cultural facts, improving research and presentation skills.
- November: True survival story book report. Encouraged comprehension, critical thinking, and engagement with non-fiction text. Many students chose to purchase their own copies.
- December: Holiday letter writing. Students wrote letters to family members and loved ones, with extra credit for returned letters. One letter was sent to a student’s family in Kazakhstan.
Impact
Students gained practical writing skills, improved grammar and spelling, and experienced the joy of real-world communication. They also developed confidence in presenting information to their peers.
3. January Writing Assignment – Godly Messages
Objective
Start the new year with God at the center of learning. Students will write a personal Godly message to share with others, combining faith development with writing skill improvement.
Assignment Guidelines
- Draft: Students prepare a written message over the weekend to submit on Monday.
- Content:
- A miniature Bible lesson or story inspired by Scripture.
- Reflections on God’s work in their lives.
- Encouragement or guidance for others in the class or community.
- Format: Students should focus on clear handwriting, proper grammar, and sentence structure.
- Goal: Encourage confidence in sharing God’s Word and articulate thoughts in writing.
Learning Outcomes
- Students demonstrate their understanding of Scripture and Christian values.
- Students strengthen writing skills, including clarity, coherence, and expression.
- Students gain confidence in sharing spiritual messages publicly.
4. Classroom Practices and Discipline
Key Principles
- Faith without works is dead; participation, effort, and discipline are essential.
